How to tell opponents apart online in Battlefield 3?

I am confused on how you tell opponents apart online on Battlefield 3. It seems as if people on your team have different colors? Do opponents have no icon? Thanks with any help!|||people on your team will always have a blue or green icon above their heads (green for people within your squad).

enemies, meanwhile, will have NOTHING above their heads until they are spotted or shot at. once something does appear, it'll be red. so yeah. if someone doesn't have anything over their heads, or has red words/ icons over their heads... it's an enemy.

colors apply to the minimap as well; blue is friendly, red is enemy. unlike people on your team, enemies will not always show up.|||Your squad has a green triangle and you can spawn on them. Your entire team has blue triangles, and enemies have no triangles unless they are spotted, then it is red above their head|||Allies- Green and blue

Eneimes- Usually have red dot or no icon.|||There is always a name and health bar over the opponent, but remember, when in doubt, shoot the ******' thing
